Discipline Committee Meetings Required For All Parents

    In the interest fairness, full participation, good order, safety, respect, and protection of students in our school, we are this term (2008 - 2009) requiring at least one parent from each family to attend and participate in at least one of the scheduled Discipline Review Committee Meetings to be held at the school, prior to the publication of the current Student Handbook.

     The committees will review/revise the existing Student Discipline Code. Final decisions on the recommendations of the committees will be made by the School Board or by the School Administration, Staff , and PTO President and two Parent Representative selected by the Administrator and PTO President. The school will likely invite other individuals whose training and or experience may be helpful. Multiple meetings will be scheduled to attempt to meet parent and staff schedules as best as possible. Sending someone other than both or one of the parents/guardians of the student in question will not be acceptable. Meetings will take place at school in the library, upper grades classroom, or computer lab.

On and beyond this date, as long as space is available, the Handbook will be reviewed with the new parent(s) at the Registration Interview.                   

 

Note:    Parent Orientation will be Thursday Evening, August 28, 2008, at 7:00 p.m.

            Pupils Report to School, Monday Morning, August 25, 2008.
